14th JUNE IN HISTORY!

                           
On this day 14th June 2014, award-winning and critically acclaimed Nigerian film maker and broadcasting executive, Amaka Igwe was laid to rest at her marital home, in Ndiuche Arondizuogu, Imo State.

14th June 1982, Argentina surrendered to Britain, ending the 74-day Falklands Islands conflict.


14th June 1954 during U.S.A. Cold War, a large scale nationwide civil defense drill is held where the simulation of Over 12 million Americans die in a mock nuclear attack. The event stood as a stark reminder that the United States and the world was now living under a nuclear shadow. 

14th June 1381 Richard II in England meets leaders of Peasants' Revolt on Blackheath. The Tower of London is stormed by rebels who enter without resistance.

14th June 1821 Badi VII, king of Sennar, surrenders his throne and realm to Ismail Pasha, general of the Ottoman Empire, bringing the 300 year old Sudanese kingdom to an end.
